Bidrage med feedbackMy go-to sushi restaurant in Cebu. It is hard to find decent sushi in the Philippines, Washoku-J is definitely not high class but far above average compared to many other places. AMBIENCE: is amazing. I love the decor and they've kept it to look very authentic and Japanese. They even sell some handmade items that look adorable. FOOD: Compared to sushi in Japan it is definitely not the best, but for Filipino sushi I think it is amazing! I've found the quality of food in most Japanese places to be below average, but not at Washoku-J. They have a big selection and I have liked all that I've tried. The best one (and most expensive) is their eel roll! A must try! Service: The service might be a bit slow sometimes, and it's hard to get someone's attention when it's busy. But! I have an allergy to gluten (wheat) and they have always been very accommodating in adapting dishes and sauces so that I could still eat them. This is rare in the Philippines! At most places I get a weird look or they simply don't care.
Quirky Japanese restaurant. Was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. This place has a limited number of tables but has a very extensive range of choices on the menu. We enjoyed everything that we ordered but its the beef (katsu and roll) that really left an impression.
Are you keen on authentic quality Japanese food, then this is a place for you (located in Streets cape) picking out fresh eel right out of the aquarium while enjoying Japanese whiskey (greate selection) Much good food items on the menu Very cozy place. Recommended
Food was bad and the portions are too small. The tempura only had 3 pieces. The fried batter was more plenty than the shrimps. My food was spicy maze tuna. Tasted terrible. It was like eating chunks of tuna with Sriracha and rice. They also added a huge chunk of wasabi in the dish which I don 't get how I 'll finish the entire thing mixing with the tuna and rice. It was like the size of a man 's big toe. Also, my brother ordered katsu set. The chicken and beef we 're too oily and the beef was tough. The chicken was good but the breading was too oily. They charge the 3rd glass of service water too. The weird thing is for the 3 of us, they charged us ₱55 for the extra water. The pricing doesn 't make sense at all.
Very bad experience at this restaurant. Came here during Good Friday since this was one of the restaurants that was open. Our food took more than an hour to cook and their vegetable roll was a rip off. We had to follow up so many times to make sure we get the rest of the food. Would never come back here again.
