Luncheonette - Cebu City

After being away for a long time, it was challenging to readjust to life in the Philippines. One of my main concerns was finding a decent restaurant that serves American food. Thankfully, we discovered the Luncheonette located inside Robinson's Cybergate. It was the ideal answer to our cravings, with excellent sandwiches, burgers, and salads!

Best hamburger in Cebu City so far. As good as any back yard grilled I've ever had. Huge serving of crispy french fries.

I really miss this restaurant! We haven't returned to Cebu since 2018, but we still fondly remember the amazing food here! We've tried nearly every item on the menu, and everything was fantastic! The food is reminiscent of the classic diners from the 1950s in the USA. The Chili Cheese Dogs and the Hot Ruben are some of the best you'll ever taste!

I had the Ruben and my wife had the Nashville chicken sandwich. They were both good, but I preferred the Ruben by a lot. A good sandwich is one of the things I've missed after being in the Philippines for a few months, and this definitely satisfied that craving. As others said, it is not cheap. The quality of everything seems high though. The bread was good which is very important. I would have liked a slice or two more of meat though if I were to give any criticism. Bonus points for having American ketchup and mustard. I've been to a couple American style corn dog places and they never have the right condiments. Edit: Went again and ordered the Ruben again. Could be my imagination but it might have had slightly more meat this time. Either way, it was delicious again. Wife ordered a breakfast sandwich with ham. It was good. Fries are great and have good seasoning on them. The sandwiches are very filling and the portion of fries is a lot for one person.

The cheeseburger and the ham and cheese sandwich are absolutely delicious. I've been here for a month, and this might just be the best burger I've had in Cebu City. The diner has a cozy atmosphere, and we ended up chatting with some of the other patrons. The breakfast menu looks amazing, but unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to try it.
