Bidrage med feedbackNo parking. The entrance isn't obvious so it really was a hidden restaurant. Upon entering the ambiance changes. It's a tiny wooden room with pictures of ancient football(? players on a wall and unknown people with Spanish music on the background. A couple steps, and you're in the al fresco dining area which was basically their backyard. It's a quaint and dainty situation, cool and intimate. I had really high expectations with the food since everyone was practically raving about everything. I was disappointed. It wasn't bad per se, just not that good. They made authentic Spanish chorizo which was a bit too spicy for me and not the best in town, in my opinion. I have to say, without the high expectation it would've been a perfect experience dining at this hole in the wall restaurant! So please forget all the raving reviews and immerse yourself in the experience, go with adventure in mind.
I'm giving this place 1 star, not because the food is bad. on the contrary, it's very good, but until they do something about their service (or the absence thereof), I'm not changing my rating for them. I've been coming here since 1998 and it's always full every time. However, our lasting visit yesterday was just horrible. The attendant knew nothing about the menu, and the only other attendant (who arrived late) was not assisting the younger guy. I personally had to help them sort out the orders, and the appetizers came out only after an hour. I think the trick here is to ORDER AHEAD because the place is poorly manned, and not so well maintained. It personally breaks my heart because their food is good (that Paella Negra was the bomb, btw), but who will come here if the service is this lousy? Sigh.
If you want to eat good spanish dishes, here you are. It was difficult to go to this reataurant, but now google map take us easily. This restaurant menus are not only taste good, but also very resonable prise. I recommend you come here with your favorites.
Since 1992, excellent Paella, Lengua, Callios, Baked Chicken and many more. One of the first authentic Spanish/Basque restaurants in Cebu that is still standing!
Excellent food at very inexpensive prices. One of our favorite restaurants. Great paella, roast chicken, tortilla de patatas, garlic shrimp, and more.
