Bidrage med feedbackWe came across Le Billot around 7 pm on a Wed. It was clearly a local bar, no tourists in sight. They weren’t serving a menu, just some small plates, but the local cheese plate and Serrano ham were stellar. The atmosphere was fantastic, the kind of place that you feel at home and everyone knows each other, and welcomes you, even if you’re a tourist. An excellent place to get a drink.
Great place with friendly owners. Resto in the back is good serving all your mountain classics, but this place is all about the bar, wine and small plates. Time flies by in this bar, I love it.
Local's place for the good and the bad. Popular and always crawded bar a vin. Restaurant is ok (although not best in town , with all the local cheese specialities. Be aware that second dinner service may start late in peak season (30 to 40' .
Medium-sized restaurant with bar and dining area. We went to dinner one night and sat in the dining room. To share, we ordered smoked trout with lemon, bread and butter. For the main dish, we shared a cheese fondue with a slice of charcuterie and bread. Everything was very good, the portions were adequate and the price was acceptable (30 € per person with two glasses of wine). The very nice waiter spoke Spanish. As in most restaurants in the city, they are only open for dinner and a reservation is mandatory because they are still full even in the week.
For me the best Mont d'Or, fondue and raclette of Cauterets. With a greed at the counter to finish, a big evening.
