New China - Catonsville

After receiving a menu through the post, I decided to give New China a try. This is the first Chinese take-out I have had since moving to the States 7 years ago, from the UK. The delivery was fast, the delivery driver very polite, the food was hot and oh sooooooo good! I had special egg foo young. This will, without a doubt, be my go-to Chinese!!!

Don't order from here. I ordered a shrimp fried rice and two shrimp egg rolls. The shrimp fried rice was over cooked!!! There were no vegetables in the fried rice!!!! There was no soy sauce in the bag. My experience with the food was dry and very tasteless and the egg rolls was also dry and salty.

General Tso's Tofu is absolutely delicious! This is definitely the best rice house in the area. Each dish, served with white rice, costs around $13. The rice is cooked to perfection, just as it should be. They’re also available on DoorDash! If I had known about this place when I lived in Virginia, I would have happily driven an hour and a half to enjoy it.

I really enjoyed the orange chicken, and all the meat dishes were excellent. It's a family-run restaurant that only offers takeout. The place is clean, and the service is friendly. Overall, great food!

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! I ordered a vegetable egg roll, and it tasted as if it had been fried in old, salty oil—there were no vegetables at all! I also tried the vegetable lo mein and vegetable fried rice, and both were just as disappointing. They were bland and lacked any vegetables. This was, without a doubt, the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. I really regret not checking the reviews beforehand.
