Trattoria Don Turiddu 2 - Catania

Had an advise from a friend of mine to test this place and so.. have tried that one. Lunch time with a collegue of mine, thank's god we joined right on time because restaurant became quickly full. Just walking in, a lovely box full of...fishes give you the best welcome you can have. Few words with the owner and you get immediately feeling that is a kind of family place and simple&fresh meals are habit here. There was a lot of local guests and honestly didn't found any turist.... anyway menu is well listed also in English so probably was a matter of the day. We had a fish meal with a lot of appetizer really nice. Extremely good and fresh ones. Our complete meal was also well tuned about expences and must say, not expensive. Will be back surely.

Fish trattoria, nothing-special food, VERY slow service, unfriendly to tourists: There're two sitting areas. Locals are seated in the inner one and tourists in the other. Area for locals had AC turned on, area for tourists did NOT. Stay away.

What a great find in our last night in Catania. Delicious self serve buffet for starters and a great choice of meat or fish mains. Passed on the pasta as we'd eaten so much by then but other people's looked great. Very cheap house wine....Laid back, relaxed atmosphere worth a visit.

The seafood was really fresh and the pasta was cooked al dente! Very reasonable pricing that we went back 3 times for lunch!

Purtroppo la posizione non è esattamente adatto per un ristorante di pesce, ma il locale è bello e il proprietario molto cordiale e disponibile. tutti i prodotti di buona qualità. una stella meno per il prezzo, a parere dello scrittore un po' cara per quello che è stato mangiato nonostante lo sconto del macello affabile. Forse la crisi ha fatto un piccolo aumento dei prezzi, ma sulla qualità non parliamo.
