Antica Trattoria Etnea - Catania

Very friendly and prompt service; food simple but tasty; at 41 Euro for bruschetta (shared), 1*salad 1*pizza mains, basket of fresh bread on the side, 2 huge glasses of local red wine, water 2 coffees to finish I can’t fault this lovely restaurant. I was sorry to see other negative reviews, my experience was everything good you might expect. I hope this will encourage custom I thought it was good value, good service and at a perfectly acceptable price in tourist land

Don’t go there. Bad service and nobody speaks different language than Italian. Top of the list- scheme with the 2 course menu. Not recommend!

From outside its called pizzeria, but when we tried to order pizza, they said they dont have any. Then me and my friend ordered gnocchi and spaghetti carbonara. It was a disaster my gnocchi were salty and not freshly made. The sauce was blend i doubt they made it fresh and the spaghetti carbonara didnt even looked like it. It looked like egg noodles. Disaster! Please never visit this place again.

We mean: if you are untransigenti on cooking pasta, if there is a crocodile when you see paper napkins, if you turn in front of the face the glass of a vintage wine, it is not a suitable place for you. less than a star. If you look for a place that at the price of a consummation at the bar fills your belly with abundant dishes and all in dignified enjoying the stroller of via etnea, the 5 stars are justified. but do not make

Excellent restaurant on the street, externally it presents with a wide and showy, very beautiful interior for a trattoria. we took pennettes to the salmon, pennettes to the norm and a goat with tuna all the dishes well presented, and really excellent as goto, well balanced, just portions. on the account nothing to say, you are on the main street you can not hope to pay a dish quite well assorted with few spikes. congratulations to the waiters, very kind and polite
