Restaurante Snack-bar O Bombeiro

We spent one day in Castro Verde and stopped by O Bombeiro for lunch. There is seating inside and outside. The hostess explained the food choice available in English. When we asked for red wine she brought us a 0.5l carafe (which we found at the end was 2.50 euros only) and it was just great. We ordered pork with clams and grilled dorado fish, which was simple and flavourful home style cooking, and we thoroughly enjoyed. Absolutely recommended!

Very good home cooked food, friendly service by Nina. Everything enjoyed surrounded by dozens of the locals, who seem to enjoy the place as much as we do!

Well located. We recommend the Carne com Amêijoas. You have the option to seat outside or inside with the AC.

We discovered the restaurant through Tripadvisor in the middle of a trip and decided to try it out. Simple restaurant with good service. Food well cooked and very tasty. Highly recommend.
