We found this cafe by chance when walking around Castro. Very friendly staff and the food tastes good and is very reasonably priced. A nice welcome from the heat. Will definitely return when we come back to Puglia.

We called in for ice creams drinks after walking around Castro. Great selection of ice creams, not to expensive for the size of cones we got. Nice clean set up near to the carpark.

We were looking for a light and inexpensive lunch and happened upon the Baccaro. A very nice lady introduced us to the 'puccia ' a traditional Puglia sandwich made from pizza dough and filled with meats, cheese and greens. There were different choices so she made me a spicy capicolo with cheese and arugula then heated the sandwich. The pizza bread is not sweet tasting so makes for a very nice sandwich. A friend enjoyed the gelato as well. A tasty lunch and a friendly hostess. Look for signs at many small cafes and bistros that advertise pucce if you want to try one of these delicious Pugliese panini.

Excellent pastry near the historic center of high chestnut. very good brioches and pastries, and the girls are very kind!
