Ponti Di Badia

We were heading for the fine restaurant next to the Caffe but it was closed. The lovely couple who run the Merenderia/Caffetteria/Tabaccheria were very helpful. We enjoyed delicious platters of salumeria, local cheeses, sandwiches, beverages and all as if we were long lost relatives.

Having tried several places around Castiglione della Pescaia, we found ourselves returning again and again. Super friendly waiters and good menu and prices. Only minus the many mosquitoes in the evening... which is a problem in any place at night around here...so remember your insect repellent! :

Cibo ottimo (assolutamente da provare i tortelli al sugo di cinta senese), personale simpatico e gentile. Decisamente consigliato!

Nice location for a dinner based on typical Tuscanian dishes. Different kind of slices (pork, boar, etc. and cheese. Very good homemade pasta with different kind of ragout. Excellent wine.
