We have been attending the place for several years, this year after a nice period of absence, we decided to return and everything remained as before, indeed with some positive variant, the rooms now have almost all I believe the bathroom in the room, unlike before, but intact remained the friendliness and food absolutely to KM zero they offer. The location offers a view of other times as a farm of Heidi to understand us) where often the only noise is that of the cow bells to the pasture or of the sheep rather than some tractor of passage. Surely recommended for those who want to rediscover some of humanity and personal contact since in the evening we all have dinner together, family and guests giving chance to get to know each other and to create beautiful friendships as happened to us.
After spending the morning in the village of Castelli we walked towards the interior to appease the appetite that the mountain air brings with it. Before even meeting someone, we were greeted by free hens that rocketed around the nuts tree. My children have gone crazy The menu is fixed, you have no choice on eating, but from the perfume that comes out of the kitchen we put full confidence in the cook's qualities. The menu is very simple, as my grandmother would have done on a Sunday day. No revisitation, dishes with pompous names, or nouveau kitchens, but the simple authenticity we like. To season the frittata are not the perfumed herbette of the Gran Sasso but as they explain it to you: we call the 'Holy grass, grows spontaneous here in the mountains and we always use to make frittate Exquisite appetizer with sliced, cheese and jams made by them. Wonderful pickled green beans!! As happens at the house of a grandmother something flourished perfection and some sin was forgiving: the noodles were not perfect, but the gnomes were divine. The same speech for the roasters, a little out, the sausages instead were fabulous. Reduced prices. Authentic atmosphere. To taste the true taste of Abruzzo, you absolutely need to eat here!

I had lunch in the open area, surrounded by nature, with friends. You don't order, but they bring what's in. All excellent in particular ravioli with ricotta di pecora and arrosticini. Honestly the only price sins the absence of homemade dessert....and flies (but in the open air is logical). To return with pleasure.
It happened by chance, in reality we almost lost, farm to all effects, spartano, but welcoming, courtesy and availability from the owner family was really sincere. Fixed menu and all of their production quantity more than abundant and very good quality in its simplicity. I recommend it to those who do not love formality but to the pleasure of good company and good genuine dishes.
