Bidrage med feedbackTotaly agree with all those with positive opinion. The prices are unbelivible low with high quality of domestic food, made on the way that was probably 50 years ago done. Taglitele with ragu and Tripa, with bottle of mineral water and ¼ red vine for total 15.00 €, not invincible. Grea for fast lunch time, absolutely recommended
We had been trying to get a table on spec for months Sunday, together with Thursday, is market day so it gets very busy , and finally managed to book a table for two for late lunch last Sunday, on the day. If you have a glamour/fine decor/ elegant table linen fixation, this is not the place for you. It is a clean but simple and unpretentious little trattoria in the market square of Castel San Giovanni. The menu is very traditional: cured meat starter with delicious home preserved peppers sole choice, but that is what locals want , a mere Euro 3,50. First course, very generous portions: I opted for lasagne as we hardly ever eat it at home on account of it being quite labour intensive I am CAN cook, WON T cook did it too often for too many years during my blue period i.e. the family rearing decades . My husband had the ravioli in brodo he is SO Italian! . Both were delicious. My husband even did that etiquette breaching pour some red wine into the broth to make a sorbi thing that old codgers in the area are so fond of..... Other choices for first course were cheese and ricotta tortelli veg option , pisarei e fasu little dumplings in a bacon and bean sauce or taglietelle with boar sauce. If I had known how generous the portions were I would have skipped the main but we had already ordered... tripe with boiled potatoes on the side for Sergio and braised beef with polenta for me. Both excellent. We drank a bottle of Gutturnio fermo, half of Barbera and a small bottle of sparkling water. The 3 cakes on offer all looked good so we waited a while then had one portion with ricotta cheese between us. The husband and wife duo were most personable and very efficient. We finished with an expresso and a liqueur each. The bill? Euros 50 total. Superb value for money. This could easily become our favourite local dining venue apart from our son 's of course! . We will be back, soon, with all the family. After booking first, of course.
Se vai da Luciano, è una garanzia: gli anolini e la picula sono una bomba, cibo ottimo, porzioni abbondanti e prezzo nella norma.
Cibo semplice ma di qualità ottimi i dolci fatti in casa gestori gentilissimi che sanno metterti a proprio agio torneremo sicuramente
