Bidrage med feedbackWe were taken here by natives who said it was the best eating in the region. we wouldn't contradict each other. the pasta was exceptional, the best we had on our whole trip. a court of brewed guinea fowl on crostini was also...a bit out of the way, outside of castel giorgio, but certainly worth a trip. very recommended.
I was looking for a good place to lunch and decided to go. the friendly chef told us the menu and gave great suggestions. perfectly cooked homemade pasta, a with wild boar and delicious ravioli. the good tasting wine was almost free. Thank you!
We chose this restaurant as a native to our billet for the week. the arrival shortly after the place was open, but left. we were shown to a table in the middle of a huge barn-like space (the tables had to be moved on both sides. to say it to a table for two strange as previous critics, one of the chefs spoke English and offered advice, which was good. Although we don't speak well Italian, we know our way around a menu, how many food we have been brought a few bruschetta while we waited for our urpiatti and they were good. our gnocchi in tomato sauce and tagliatelli with cinghiale ragu, were also very plentiful and tasteful. it really should have ended. we followed with salt meadow it looked good on the plate, but was very dry and full of bones. I ordered the mixed pork grill, which included a sausage (ok), two pieces, which could have been belly pork discs, but they were gray and greasy, and two reserve ribs. that were not reserves, but they were also dry. I ordered a Poderetto page salad, but should have read the menu more precisely because it consisted of a lot of rocket, but even more chopped fruits that just didn't work. at this time there were only two more couples at the whole place and they ordered pizza there was a huge television that dominated a wall, so no atmosphere at all. it was cheap, but other restaurants in the opposite can fit with better arranged, so it won't go back there.
Although we have often seen this place, we never visited this restaurant. we were not sure if it was okay, etc. tonight we went and... we were surprised. good food, not a hanky panky. the pizza? a thin and crispy floor, good filling. one of the better. pizzas we had in italy. the tagliata was excellent. no complaining and at the end we paid less than pp and enjoyed an antipasti, main course once dessert and coffee. serve was ok....a basic but good place for a family dinner. we will be more regular.
We were looking for a place to eat and saw a road sign for this restaurant. After a short drive we arrived at the restaurant, but it seemed closed. When we drove away a waiter ran after us to tell us the restaurant was open....Since our Italian wan;st that good, we were very pleased one of the cooks spoke English. We followed his advice regarding the dishes and were pleasantly surprised. The food was very, very good. Home made, local products, tasteful, good portions, friendly service and very affordable.
