Bidrage med feedbackA cozy brewery that offers flavors that pack a punch.
A very good microbrewery despite its modest size. I particularly enjoy their white beer, the Chien Blanc, which has a light body and a hint of orange zest. Unfortunately, it's not possible to sample beer inside because the space is too small. You'll have to sit at one of the two picnic tables on the little terrace, which is a bit unattractive. I deduct one star for the atmosphere. If you're looking for space, be cautious, as Cassel is somewhat hidden behind a bowling alley. Other than that, I have no complaints. The beers produced here (about a dozen in total) are of excellent quality. It's a worthwhile stop if you're driving between Montreal and Ottawa.
Cassel Brauerei Co may be a small brewery, but I rated it 4 stars because I really enjoy their railway theme and their beers! It's located in the quaint village of Casselman, which had a population of 3,626 in 2011. Their business hours are somewhat limited, so be sure to check their website for details. They offer free samples before you buy, which is a nice touch! I particularly love their Golden Rail Honey Brown, Caboose IPA, and Lil Red Steamer, which is very smooth and true to their style. Of course, I couldn't resist picking up a bottle or two. You can also find their beers on tap at various local shops and the LCBO! It's always a pleasure to chat with the wonderful people there; I look forward to my next visit!
