El trato en la recepción no fue muy bueno, íbamos en moto y en la web no nos dejó reservar una plaza de parking, sólo es posible insitu, y cuando llegamos nos dijeron que era imposible, media hora después llegó otra pareja en moto y a ellos sí se la dieron. Hablamos con ellos y nos dijeron que no la tenían reservada, que habían tenido mucha suerte...nos trataron como clientes de segunda
Hello everyone, I will share with you my experience regarding this hotel. After I missed my flight for unrelated reasons I got in a taxi and said please take me to nearest hotel I said take me to nice hotel not dump. The driver took me to Elba 4* hotel in Gran Canaria. At the beginning everything look very nice and clean. I booked a room receptionist sent me to my room. I asked if everything is ready she said yes. Once I got in the room 2 kids 10 and 8 and my wife) we noticed a strage smell. A bit like chlorine. We didn't take to much notice we said it must have been because of the cleaning just being done. We also noticed a metal machine on the table there that was buzzing but we just thought is some kind of air conditioning. After about 5 7 minutes the kids started to cough very powerfully and started to vomite. By this time a cleaner came at the door and told us to quickly get out. All this time kids where vomiting and coughing. Cleaner quicky took the metal machine away and send us to reception. At reception the kids won't stop coughing and coughing. They called the ambulance. I kept asking what is that machine I was finally told it's an ozanator air disinfectant but it's ok and I should worry. I poin out to my kids that wouldn't stop coughing. Ambulance and police came they took us to hospital they put my children on IV treatment and oxygen. They finished treatment there after that we were transferred to another hospital pretty far away and we had more examination done there by specialist. We were advised to take children after 3 months for another exam to see if there are permanent damage. We got back to hotel after about 6 7 hours. We took taxi back kids tired and scared and hungry. It was an terrible experience. After I sent email to complain to Hotel Manager and to complain department no reply back . Very very disappointed. I would avoid this hotel and this chain of hotels. I think this is my first bad review ever in my life but I am so angry I couldn't stop.
Lots of noise in the room from corridors and other rooms due to Ill fitting door and total lack of any kind of sound proofing. Hard floors mean noise from room above. Balcony door had the wrong type of lock badly fitted meaning that the door did not fully close allowing lots more noise in from two busy bars opposite. Hallways are badly in need of redecoration. Dirty old carpets and wall coverings. In general very tired and in need of major work. Wifi is poor. The owners owe it to their clients who are paying high prices for very low quality. This hotel should NEVER be classed as 4 star as quite simply it is not.
Hotel is OK, but food provided is terrible. Overcooked, cold pork, fat but cold french fries, rice without taste and overcooked tuna. We went to bed hungry... Never ever again!
