Eggville Cafe - Cary

The food was exceptional. I ordered the country fried steak with sausage gravy and two eggs cooked sunny side up, and everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. I also enjoyed a fresh fruit bowl and rye toast as my sides. I was pleased to find that they offered really good green tea, too. The service was overall quite good. I definitely want to return for lunch, as they’re open until 2 p.m. I just wish they had later hours! Their lunch menu looked impressive.

Food was very good. The service could have been better. The waitress seemed off forgetting to complete an order with soup and following simple requests.

My husband wanted to try a new breakfast spot instead of our usual place. When we arrived, the restaurant looked busy, but we were told there would only be a five-minute wait. We were seated by a friendly hostess, but the server seemed irritated when she came to take our order. There was a long delay between when we ordered and when we finally received our food. In fact, people who arrived after us were served before we were. I understand that prices have increased, but I don’t think the quality of food and service justified what we paid. Additionally, they really need to improve their payment system; it created a bit of a bottleneck with customers waiting to pay, picking up orders, and trying to enter or exit all in the same cramped area.

Haven?t had good breakfast in such a long time! Currently 38 weeks pregnant and was out running errands when I started craving breakfast chose this place randomly. Let me just say best decision EVER. Fast service, friendly staff, great food! They?reFrench toast is amazing!! It?s made with challah bread so it?s not your typical thin slices. If your thinking about eating herego for it I sure didn?t regret it and my standards are kinda high right now being pregnant.

The food is always fantastic! The redeye coffee is amazing—I really enjoy having a little espresso mixed in, especially since it has such great flavor. The steak skillet is my favorite! The meat is full of flavor, and I like to swap out the onions and mushrooms for broccoli and spinach. This is my go-to place for a quiet breakfast, whether I’m alone or with my boys.
