Krystal - Cartersville

Today is Wednesday March 13 2024.I arrived around 3:30ish and ordered the Krystal combo number 1 and I had a special request, no onions or pickles, add ketchup. And also had to get my chili pup with no cheese and add mustard.Most places (when you ask for an additional condiment) will slather it on like there is no tomorrow.. I'm talking apocalyptic gooshing on there. So much so, that it is not edible.NOT TODAY BY GOLLY!My Krystals were absolutely perfect! They were hot, fresh, and the perfect proportion of mustard and ketchup. My tots were fresh out of the fryer and seasoned perfectly. Chili pups were ON POINT! And as an added bonus I got an apple pie and it was one of the best food chain desserts I've ever had. I'm seriously thinking about going back tomorrow just to get a sack full of pies!I want to give an extra special thanks to the crew that was working this afternoon. The General Manager Kristin, working the window was Robert, the cooks and other staff Rachel, Sierra, and Torre. I got to talk to Kristin, Robert, and Rachel for a moment while waiting for my order to come out and they were the kindest food service workers I've had the pleasure of talking to in a LONG time. I had to go back to the window after I ate my dinner to personally thank them all for a job well done.If you're a fan of Krystal, or if you have had a bad experience at another Krystal in the past, go to this location and give them a try. I promise you will not be disappointed. I truly felt like I was part of a family for those few brief moments that i was there.I'm not one to take pictures of my food before I eat like a lot of people do, so I'll apologize here for the lack of pictures, but try this... have your phone read my description above to you and close your eyes and let your imagination run wild while you think about those hot, steamed bun, krystals.... those tater tots that were fresh, hot, perfectly mealy on the inside with just a hint of crunch on the outside... and then on to that chili pup, perfectly steamed bun, that slight hint of spicy in the chili that makes your tongue want to slap your forehead, with that little drizzle of mustard calling out your name... and, oh my Lord, that apple pie,yum-to the by gawd-my!MMMMMM, MMMMM, MMMMM, MAKE YOU WANT TO SLAP SOMEBODY!I didn't realize how long this review was until I went back to proofread what I wrote before posting. Absolutely the worse!!! I’m not sure how or why this place is still open. Just left and waited 20 min in drive thru just to not get my order taken. Today is 2/28/2024 for the record. This is happening often. 2 of the workers standing outside, no wonder I can’t get my order taken If I can give negative stars I would.

Night Crew don 't want to take orders and just coast until close. Tried to place an order via drive thru and the person on headset interrupted me several times, was curt, and flippant and ultimately made me not want to eat here at all.I ask for a combo, and before I finish speaking, it 's WHADDYAWANNADRINK. I ask to back track and customize my sandwich, and I can almost picture the eyerolling. How dare I have preferences? WHADDYADRINK. I 'll keep that simple? I guess, dang, just a Sprite. And before I add to my sides and snacks, the chick shouts WILLTHATBEALL, between every request. WILLTHATBEALL, WILLTHATBEALL, WILLTHATBEALL?!?!? Y 'all. All I wanted was two plain spicy chicken crystals with cheese, fries, sprite, and a corn dog, and you 'd think I was extra and asking for special treatment. I 'm not one of those No salt, fREsH fries ONLY people, nor am I picky about how my bun is toasted or whatever, just let me finish my thought and show even 2% of hospitality. First time I 've ever lost my temper with food service because I fought in that trench, and I know how miserable it is, especially when it 's near close, and you have a surprise guest ordering $50+ worth of food and you went down to one fryer or something. It sucks, but you don 't take it out on customers.Y 'all 's food isn 't worth having the patience of being shouted at do better, I doubt if/when I 'll give y 'all another try since the last time I ate here was during shift change and my order was messed up top to bottom.TL;DR Drove off and canceled my order because staff are disrespectful and hostile enough to make you forget you want food at all. Just go to the nearest Sonic across the street or make a drive to McDs where the food is cheaper and you can actually get respect.

They have gotten much better, must have new management!

Really great place to eat. We stopped by as we were traveling through. Took a little time to get the food, but it was hot and probably the best Krystalwe have eaten in a long time. Would go back if we’re in the area. We got cheese Krystal’s, tots, and apple pies.
