But so beloved was the ernie's joint that the city reb uilt it on the same spot in the same decor,,ha ha, to be the exact same as the one that burned. 8 stools in front of a counter is all it is. great burgers, chili dogs and steak and gravy, breakfast is also very good. order a hamburger all the way and see what you get? good groceries!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since 1931 4 Way Lunch has been serving meals on the corner of E. Main Street and S. Gilmer Street in downtown Cartersville, GA.  The squat red and white building is a throwback to the lunch counters of the 1930s and 40s and I was excited about paying it a visit while I was in the area on business. I parked in a small lot behind the restaurant and made my way to the front door.  Eight stools lined the counter.  The one furthest from the door was open. I walked past the backs of men busily eating biscuits and gravy while sipping on black coffee.  The lone waitress clad in a bright red apron cheerfully greeted me.  Her Southern drawl was thick and pleasant on the ears.  She poured me a cup of coffee in a 4 Way Lunch mug and slid it towards me. I sipped on the strong dark liquid while reading over the simple black and white plastic clad menu.  Simple old fashioned breakfast items lined the page and the prices were insanely low.  I settled on two eggs with a choice of meat for $4.85.  In a

I hadn 't been in here for years, and after visiting today (Thursday May 20, 2022 around 1pm) I had forgotten what a great place it is. 1. Prices are extremely reasonable. W 2. Location is great 3. Plenty of parking in area 4. Service is fast and professional 5. Food is very good and quantity is ample. I had the chili burger 'all the way ' which is burger with chili, onions and mustard. Absolutely delicious. My wife had the hot dog 'all the way ', hot sog.witj chili, onions and mustard. Based on these 5 factors, it 's a 5 star place for us. Definitely recommend.

Simple. Wow, this place is quite fancy! Well, not really. It's one of the most down-to-earth spots I've ever visited. I think it seats only ten people at a time. There are stools at the bar, and behind the bar, the cooks prepare a few items from their lunch menu. This was my first visit, so I ordered a cheeseburger for my son and a steak sandwich for myself. I tried his cheeseburger and was pleased enough with the flavor to add this restaurant to my 'like' list. However, I wasn't overly impressed with the steak sandwich; it was smothered in gravy. It seems I ordered the wrong dish, as I noticed they were serving a lot of their ALL-THE-WAY BURGERS to other customers, which are burgers topped with chili. Hopefully, I'll try that next time. There was something very appealing about the experience — perhaps it was the simplicity of it all.
