Beth Marie's Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor

The ice cream was good but the service was not, especially for it being our first time there. One of two families in the place on a Saturday afternoon and the woman behind the counter was snarky, short in her responses, and rude. There was a table in themiddle of the room to create a flow for the line (clearly not set up for people to eat on) and I perched my 9-month old son init temporarily to adjust his clothing and she hollered rudely across the room to tell me to get my son off the table. Couldhave been said much nicer. Then, when my husband got up to the front to order, he told her what she wanted and the woman askedwhat kind of cone he wanted. He ask what kind of cones they had and she said again, what kind of cone, sir? So he asked againwhat the options were and her response was to rudely flit her eyes to the left. There was an assortment of cones on top of oneof the ice cream cases that clearly neither one of us had noticed. He picked one, she gave us our ice cream, and we left.Needless to say, we will not be going back based on the way she treated us. My family is in the restaurant business and that isnot how I would want any employee to treat customers.

This is a great place to grab an ice cream cone, featuring some intriguing and unique flavors. I really liked the pumpkin pie scoop, but I wasn't a fan of the bah bah blackberry flavor. It’s made with either sheep or goat milk, and it just didn’t appeal to me. If you’re uncertain about any flavor, I recommend asking for a sample first!

What a charming little ice cream shop! The friendly women behind the counter offered us samples and made great recommendations. The ice cream is wonderfully creamy. My son is already looking forward to our next visit!

This was my first visit, and I came for the homemade ice cream—and it definitely exceeded my expectations! We tried s'mores, honey whiskey, cookies and cream, and chocolate. Each flavor was delicious in its own unique way, with a creamy and silky smooth ice cream base. We will certainly be returning. The indoor space is quite small, so I wouldn't consider it very conducive to dining in. However, we planned to eat outside since there's a lovely park nearby, so it wasn't an issue for us. Our total came to around $15 for four regular scoops.

Wellll I honestly don?t have a clue of how the ice cream is here because when I walked in and saw the floor was filthy and a huge cockroach on the wall, it made me wonder about the cleanliness and whether or not my ice cream would come from a clean areaor if there would be a bug in it. It did smell good in there though. It smelled real homemade.
