Fillin Station - Carroll

Very delicious food for a little bar/country restaurant. Our server Jaime was friendly and efficient. You could tell she was proud to be working there. My salad was just great. Crispy lettuce and the tomato was hearty and practically melted in my mouth (I don't really love tomatoes in general . I splurged and got the chicken fried steak. It was tender, crispy on the outside and delicious. There was a subtle flavor in the gravy that I did not really love, but don't get me wrong, it was all hot fresh and delicious. The steak came with mashed potatoes that were home made and perfectly prepared. I was surprised there wasn't a roll, but I did not have room for it. The only real criticism I have is that water came in a bottle instead of from tap with ice. (Same with the pops. But, the waters were only a dollar each and Jaime said tap water is an option. This place is worth a visit. Evidently, Friday is Steak Night TBone, and every other Thursday and Saturday are Karaoke, usually.

The cottage cheese is goooooooooooooooooooood!!!!! I really like the cottage cheese. Get the cottage cheese even if you're lactose intolerant! (I did not get the cottage cheese but the table behind us REALLYY liked the cottage cheese)

It was a bar but had tables. Not the most updated but clean and the server was very nice. The fish sandwich was great. Fresh tartar sauce and hot sandwich I wish they had homemade onion rings but they don't. I will go back. Good prices too!

Fish chips. Real cod. 3 piece great. Real fry's Karaoke on Saturday. Country place. Like a hole in the wall in west Virginia stoneware up in the hills. That small town country

The waitress was friendly and seating was flexible, allowing us to choose wherever we liked. Based on everyone's recommendations, I ordered the Black and Bleu burger along with a Coke. I was a bit disappointed to find that they only serve canned soda, not fountain drinks. However, my burger arrived hot and fresh off the grill, and it definitely lived up to the hype—one of the best burgers I've ever had! We also tried the sweet potato fries, which came with a delicious cinnamon butter dip. I highly recommend giving them a try!
