Supermac's - Carrickmacross

This restaurant was a terrible experience. The staff were unfriendly, the appearance was disgusting, and even the manager was not up to par. I went in at 3:05 to order a chicken lunch box meal, only to be told there was no chicken available for 15 minutes. After going to a few shops and returning at 4:20, I was told by another staff member that there was still no chicken being cooked. I have never encountered such a problem like this before. Even after explaining my previous visit, they were unapologetic. It's ridiculous to have no chicken available in the middle of the day.

I went to this restaurant for pizza and decided to add on the drinks and cookie deal for an extra €5. The pizza was fantastic, the best in town without a doubt. However, I was very disappointed with the cookies that came with the deal. They were raw and unpleasant to touch, almost like sticking your fingers in something disgusting. When I opened the box, it looked like a vomit-like mess. I had never tried the cookies from this place before, so I brought them back to the counter. The first server told me that the cookies were supposed to look like that and refused to replace them. I spoke to another server who agreed that the cookies were not right and ordered a new batch to be cooked by the same server. After waiting for 10 minutes, I received another batch of soggy cookies that looked like they had been cooked in a deep fryer. The consistency was worse than The Blob. I will never be ordering these cookies again.

Manager and employees inside of supermacs rushing an injured person to leave after 10mins of eating food. Employee asked nicely and we were leaving and the manager literally 5 seconds later rudely kicked us out! Even outside they continued to harass us after eavesdropping on our conversation telling us to not come back after literally doing nothing wrong!!

We decided to try supermacs as we were on holiday and had heard good things. We asked for 3’x chicken fillet burgers and 2 x curry and cheesy chips and were given the total wrong order! I rang them to let them know and was just argued with.. I was first cut off and then they left the phone off the hook and when I eventually got through they made me repeat the whole story again despite just telling the same person. Rather than apologising they claimed my partner had made the wrong order which he 100% hadn’t but obviously how could I prove it? So much for the customer is always right. Seems run by imcompotent people who cannot offer decent customer service. My advice is if you want to try here ensure you repeat your order numerous times just so they grasp it.

The staff are great here. It is well run, clean and the food is lovely. In fact it's better than lovely. Their 5oz burger meal really hits the spot. I've only had a couple of times where other customers ruined the visit for me but I can't hold Supermacs responsible for the fact that Carrickmacross seems to be full of knackers these days. As for this branch of Supermac's? ..10/10 guys.. keep it up.
