Valare's Pizza - Carmel Hamlet

I have been going to Gappy’s for years, good food, nice people and good value. George is the owner is a nice friendly guy who is welcoming. The only thing I don’t like is they charge for using a credit card, instead they should just raise prices a bit.

This restaurant is my favored. I eat in many restaurants but to this place I go the most. The crew is very receptive and the food they serve is so delicious. I am always happy to have a good meal in this place. Highly recommended.

We needed a pizza while over in Gappy's neck of the woods. Ordered ahead and picked it up. It was their usual, great pizza and done on time. They are still offering take out and local delivery during NY PAUSE for Covid 19.

Don’t let my three stars fool you. The pizza was pretty good. But for me 4 stars is great, 5 is a rare perfect. We just got it to go. The crust could’ve been better, seemed like it needed salt to us. The cannoli was not good. It tasted like the ricotta had flour in it, the texture wasn’t smooth. I also prefer a lot more chocolate chips, there were few. Then they drizzled what tasted like chocolate flavored sugar water all over them. There’s a lot of good cannolis out here, this was definitely not worth the calories.

Good food reasonably priced, best part no wait walk in and eat and it was Friday night.
