The Hangout Cafe - Carmel Hamlet

Cute but small place. Tables a bit too close for comfort given the pandemic but we went during the afternoon so it was empty. Nicely decorated. Server was very attentive. I ordered the grilled salmon it was a little rubbery but other than that we had a good experience.

Cute ,very tiny place. Tables too close for comfort for us during this time. Drinks fun,good price and strong. Live music was nice touch. Menu very different. Plantains galore! I don't think I got what I ordered but didn't bother letting them know. I think some items are overpriced for what we got. We may return but after fear of covid due to tight quarters. Good luck with it!

Excellent food and service! Looking forward to going back

The name is deceptive. I thought this was a coffee shop for the teens hanging out at the local movie theater. But it turns out, The Hangout Cafe is actually a GREAT little restaurant, serving up meals my whole family loved in a upscale-feeling but unpretentious setting. Great for a night out with friends, dates, or any night you don’t feel like cooking. Generous portions. Full bar. Attentive service.

Small but well appointed upscale cafe with great service and music on a friday night. Menu eclectic with Spanish influences. Sangria very good. Food also good recommend roasted plantains. Convenient location next to cinema for a date night dinner and movie.
