House Of Soul Prime - Carmel

My Dad suggested we come here and it was immaculate. The sauces on the chicken were so good. The sides were huge and their dessert was to die for. Huge portions. Something for even the pickiest of eaters. Staff was great. Owner went above and beyond. Cute little place : My Dad already wants to go again!

The food wasn't good at all the chicken was brown cooked in old oil..The perch was like rubber, indicating it was sitting for a long time..The cashier even made some negative remarks that you dont advertise you sell catfish because you dont want to be overwhelmed...

Can you please tell me how you can patronize a business if you go there twice and they close down early for being out of everything. Very disappointing.

My meal pictured below including beer was $34. Service was great. I had the catfish dinner. They were 3 very big pieces of catfish! I ate 1 of them in the restaurant. It was great seasoned perfect. I had the macaroni, greens, and sweet potatoes also. All were delicious. Did not enjoy the cornbread. It tasted like chives were in it and it was very dry. When I got home to get my other 2 pieces of catfish, I noticed one of them were raw in the middle.

I felt the employees were pleasant with any questions that l had on how to place a food order for the first time. My food was done within 20 minutes of my order. I even received a courtesy call that my order was ready for pick up. The location is comfortable and clean. However, my greatest disappointment was my food. I had fried chicken, greens, yams, Mac and cheese. Everything was horrible and blandly season. The chicken was fried hard on the outside, but not done all the way. The yams and macaroni were gummy. The greens was tasteless including the wheat muffin. I attempted to call the establishment to report my concerns, but no one answered after several attempts. I’m so disappointed. I was really hoping for the best. Btw, even the strawberry lemonade cake was a let down.
