Tir-y-dail Chinese Takeaway

I visited Tirydail Chinese Takeaway on a Saturday night in September 2023 only to find out that they had run out of chicken curry at 7:45pm. I tried calling for over 30 minutes with no answer. Frustrated, I went in person and was told that they had run out of chips as well. I was left wondering what kind of takeaway establishment this was. It has the potential to be successful, but their lack of inventory was disappointing.

I ordered takeout at 6:30 on Saturday evening, only to be informed that it would be ready for collection at 8pm. Upon arrival at the takeaway, we had to wait an additional 45 minutes for our food. The chips were terrible, the meat in the dishes was dry, and the pancake rolls were bland.

I recently went to this restaurant for a takeout order. Unfortunately, they did not have any of the items we were craving, such as curry or chips. The staff was not very helpful either. It's a shame because we were planning to place an order for a group of 8 people.

We’ve been here 4 times in the last 6 months and the food is really inconsistent. The first visit gave us dry chicken balls and bad chips but everything else was nice, second visit the pork was fatty, third visit everything spot on but this last visit was really disappointing. Tried for 30 mins to get through from 5pm on the phone to be told no food collection until 7pm, ok a bit late but fine. My husband arrived only to be kept waiting another 40mins for the food. ‘There’ll be a small wait sorry’ he was told when he arrived and paid. It’s a shame they just don’t tell you that they can’t fulfill the order until later so you can just go elsewhere. We expected the food to be perfect considering the wait but the chips were rock hard and the beef was super chewy and some of it inedible. Such a shame. We won’t visit again simply because being this inconsistent is too disappointing!

This place is great! Busy, and popular for a reason. Really good food, fresh and tasty. We had beef in black bean sauce, sweet sour, lemon chicken , crispy beef and chow mein. Everything was delicious, and not at all gloopy and generic/bland like some places can be. Even the chips were great! Whether it’s Chinese you want, or a chip supper, you won’t be disappointed here.
