The Clink - Carlow

Had breakfast here this morning waitress was lovely but I would give food a 2 out of ten very disappointing...12 euro for burnt sausage, horrible rashers this is classes as a full irish ...daughter gave me her sausages as she couldn't eat them

Staff lovely so helpful and polite if I was to rate the staff I would give them 5 stars , ambiance 2 stars music to loud night dinning pitbull playing don't get me wrong I actually love pitbull but not a restaurant vibe ? Now down to the food so disappointed very bland no flavour however presentation was very good and piping hot, such a pity about huge lack of flavour, wine over priced for what you get would not recommend red cab sav, but would pick their new malbac quit nice, overall paying to much for very bland food , plus no info on tablets (menu) on wine per glass ?? Food allergy info to basic .... can't see myself or party recommending here or returning unfortunately alot better restaurants in carlow better value, I don't mind paying for good food but really dislike paying for substandard.

Food was good until I looked over the person I was dining with's shoulder and saw that the Ukrainians were seated at the back of the restaurant while everyone else were given seats at the front...I thought maybe it's because they live in the hotel so they sit at the back but then I saw most of them scraping their food into lunchboxes and going back to their rooms after not even 5 minutes. Then I see the Clinks reviews of someone showing their bedrooms in the hotel with their sugar, milk and oranges on cardboard. Bring foreigners in from war yet don't have enough compassion to treat them like actual humans especially with all those millions, my dog's are treated better.

We really enjoyed brunch at the Clink. We were celebrating a birthday and we were blown away by how special the staff made the occasion. With balloons and a special 'Happy Birthday ' dessert, it was definitely a brunch to remember. The food was delicious and the cocktails were 10/10. I will definitely be recommending brunch at The Clink to my friends. Can 't wait to visit again.

Dined in with my friend last night. Food was lovely (especially the dessert) however I have to compliment my server. I never got my servers name however her personality was amazing. Very friendly and super helpful. She was short with black hair and she is a credit to the place
