Shahi Dhaba Indian Food - Carlisle

I had a really unpleasant experience at this restaurant. When I walked in and asked about the prices, the guy gave me only three seconds to consider the utterly outrageous prices before telling me to think it over and come back another time. The overall vibe was that this gas station spot was too fancy for me to even contemplate paying $18 for chicken and rice for more than a few seconds. In my opinion, if you want to charge $18 for chicken and rice, you should probably move out of the back of a gas station. Thumbs down overall.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. I ordered biryani and two mango lassis, but the lassis were not fresh; the water had separated from the mango. I'm sorry to say this, but I wasn't impressed with either the food or the service.

As a long-haul truck driver, I ordered from this restaurant a few months ago. I tried the chicken tikka masala, malai kofta, and I'm not certain if it was the channa masala or paneer tikka masala, but I loved both! I also sampled two soups that I can’t quite identify, but their flavors were delightful. I attempted to return in December, but unfortunately, they weren’t there. I really hope to grab a meal from them again during my next trip through the area!

My child and I were searching for a place to eat while our electric vehicle was charging, and we stumbled upon this nearby restaurant. To our surprise, we discovered that it was connected to a gas station convenience store. Although the setting wasn’t much to look at, the food was packed with flavor, spicy, and expertly prepared. The homemade picnic tables didn’t offer much of a view, and I did find the rice slightly undercooked and a bit chalky. However, the lamb vindaloo, goat korma, and paneer naan were absolutely delicious and definitely worth mentioning! I felt it was at least worth leaving a review!

The food is great, but I suggest choosing medium spice. I highly recommend this place to all truck drivers!
