Issei Noodle - Carlisle

The food was good! Some dishes were more authentic than others. Good choice for South Central pennsylvania.

It was good. I had the House Red Curry, Vegetarian. In fact, it was absolutely delicious, tasty with just enough heat. The service was welcoming and patient, but the price is a little high for the serving that you receive. Especially with regard to the protein/vegetable portion. Look at the picture clearly. I had 2 small pieces of broccoli, 2 or 3 stems of what looked like bok choy, about 7-10 squares of cabbage, 3 bamboo shoots (which are not fun to chew) and maybe 4 slices of red peppers. My friend had the same meal, but with chicken, and only received two small square sheets of it. So that's why I took away two stars from the service rating and one from the overall rating. Everyone here in Carlisle raves about this restaurant, and it is good, but I wasn't completely satisfied. I felt like I was missing a portion of my provision. I don't mind spending money at all, I just want to feel like it's worth it!

Amazing Japanese restaurant in downtown Carlisle. The atmosphere was very modern yet cozy. They menu had lots of good options. I ended up getting the Katsu-Don and it was fantastic. Mid-way through our meal, one of the staff asked if we could move a table over and we were completely okay with it, but they still offered a free dessert for each of us for the inconvenience. Excellent service.

Tons of quality ramen options and the best I've seen in the area. Really cool anime and Japanese inspirational inside too. Also the mango cheesecake was a pleasant surprise

The service was great, but the food was very subpar. I've had better ramen at a ramen chain restaurant. I thought this being a smaller place it would be more authentic better flavors, but unfortunately it lacked. Great service though!
