We used to go quite often for the Pork Souvlaki and the waiting staff were really nice and attentive.It seemed like a very good, reasonably priced restaurant, but unfortunately we started to notice the quality and freshness of the food we were ordering was becoming inconsistent.The other thing I want to mention is the salad that comes with the Souvlaki.My wife and I would regularly bite onto what seemed like tiny pieces of grit/stone to me when eating that salad, and the very last time I was there and eating that salad, I bit onto a much larger piece of something that took a huge chip out of my upper front tooth.I mentioned it to them when I was paying my bill, and they seemed uninterested and offered nothing.Nice..... so my dentist rebuilt my tooth, and Thruway Restaurant lost 2 regular customers.
Finally stopped in at this place after driving past it for so many years. Arrived around 530 pm and we were seated right away. Our server was fast and got our drinks and food order. I had the maple salmon and my husband had the baby beef liver. The food arrived promptly and was piping hot, on nice warm plates. It was delicious! And very generous portions. Thank you Thruway for the delicious meals! We will be back!
