The Cheddar Stop - Carleton Place

This shop is a great spot for all your entertainment needs, with a wonderful selection of cheese, crackers, chutneys, jams, etc. I particularly love their Lanark Village chocolates, especially the fudge and ice cream served in a cone, cup, or waffle cone.

Why bother going to a chain store for mediocre ice cream when you can visit this charming old-fashioned ice cream shop that serves authentic ice cream made right in front of you? They also offer a variety of delicious locally sourced cheeses from different animals. The menu is eclectic and interesting, with many other options to choose from. The restaurant has plenty of parking, isn't too crowded, has friendly staff, and offers reasonable prices for the high quality of food they serve.

This restaurant offers a variety of delicious items such as fresh fudge, meats, and cheeses, but my favorite treat to indulge in on long weekends is their torte. The Boston cream and coconut cream on the cake are just like grandma used to make, absolutely delicious.

Stopped in on way back to Ottawa for a ice cream to eat on the drive down hwy7. Super friendly staff and price items but pay for the charm and quality. Ice cream was buy 1 get next for 1/2 price. Good cones and nice...flavour. Next time we will have one of the ice creams. Fudge is great here!!!
