This is a great place for a Sunday lunch. One of the best Sunday lunches in the area .

Basic country pub decor is a bit out of date, but has a tired comfort about the place. Dishes are unimaginative, but tasty

The restaurant was welcoming and the food was delicious. We visited for lunch when it was not very crowded, but I can imagine it being busier in the evenings. I would recommend booking a table in advance. I would definitely come back again.

The food at the restaurant was typical pub fare but very delicious. I had a pleasant late lunch and would have given it an overall rating of 5 stars, but I have to deduct 2 stars for a mistake on the bill. Everything looked fine at first glance, but when I checked the receipt at home, I realized that I had been charged £5.50 for a beer that we did not order. I was dining with my two granddaughters and we each had a glass of Coke. It's a good lesson to always double check the bill before paying, as this oversight slightly tarnished what would have otherwise been a nice experience.
