We have reserved Snails Deli a few times for family gatherings, but recently we have taken advantage of their special deals in partnership with Rhiwbina Tap. We have ordered pizzas and other snacks while enjoying some beer at the tap house nearby. The food comes out quickly and we can enjoy the best of both worlds.
It had been a while since I last dined at Snails and I was disappointed to find that the quality of the food had declined despite the higher prices. The salad that came with my meal consisted of a handful of leaves from a supermarket bag, lukewarm potato wedges, tasteless broccoli, and Glamorgan sausages. I paid £12.50 for a meal that was unappetizing. I raised my concerns to the staff but did not receive a refund. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
Bored of Starbucks wraps and Supermarket meal deals, I always look for somewhere local that will do a decent meal. For a couple of quid more than your standard floppy sandwich, I got a box full of salad and a large slice of quiche, which was very tasty and kept me going well into the evening. So impressed was I that I returned the next day and had their burger, which again did not disappoint. The place seems to be a real hub of the community and the vibe was excellent. Service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. I’ve already recommended it to a few local contacts. I’ll be back next time I’m in the area, for sure!
We had a great evening celebrating my Dad’s 80th birthday. Everyone enjoyed the most amazing ‘grazing’ buffet (delicious meats, cheeses, salads, coleslaw, samosas etc). Nicky was so helpful in the run up to the event, whilst Fran and team ensured it all ran smoothly on the night. A top venue for a cozy, intimate celebration of any kind. Would 100% recommend. Thanks Team Snails
