Sen Bbq - Cardiff

A little gem that undersells itself. From the look of the counter, I thought it was going to be a good takeaway kebab what looked like a better quality range of meat and salad, real Turkish. Then I realised there were tables at the back. It’s simple, basic food, in a basic setting but really good. If I knew how the place worked, I’d have gone for a table meal. Locals are lucky to have this place.

Ordered the Mix Platter £35) Sen BBQ used to be one of the best grill places in Cardiff. Seems like there must be new owners, the food was 3/10 and that is being overly generous. All of the meat was completely dry and flavourless!!!

My first doner kebab since the 90’s we live just off Cowbridge Road so are grandly spoiled by leisure catering which means we’re going to leverage our pounds and get great value this mixed chicken and lamb doner was nine quid with all the trimmings takeaway it weighs as much as a newborn it is Very delicious I’ve put the LARGE sabatier knife where I’ve eaten to so far and I was properly hungry I am stuffed and these guys have put a solid catering marker down that’s a very good return on nine quid

We used to love sen BBQ.. was BYOB but not anymore unfortunately. Arrived today, and was refused tap water, insisted paying for bottled water. This is illegal. We left immediately and won’t be returning.

The only place I go for a real kebab . I always have a mixed lamb/chicken shawarma wrap
