Bidrage med feedbackHad a fabulous afternoon/ evening at their first and hopefully not their last music festival . Great atmosphere and superb bands . The staff were amazing, as was the street food ! Huge thanks to Nikki and her team for pulling off such a great event, all within walking distance of home .
No food being served. Asked barman if they were serving food,he said that he didn 't know!!!!! Half pub unlit. Tv in bar on with sound blaring. Customers shouting at each other not chatting. People came in for food, and left immediately when told no food service. Tables full of debris, and dirty glasses. All in all,a very unhappy experience. Had one drink, and left for The Fox and Hounds. Where we had a great time.
What a lovely little pub and restaurant! Popped in for lunch and was served by Sue who although rushed off her feet provided us with the most friendly welcome and fantastic service . She is so enthusiastic about the food and upcoming special nights that we ended up booking for their special evening on beaujolais day . Good selection of home cooked food very well presented and all very tasty . Will definitely go back wish I lived that side of Cardiff and it was my local !
It was my first time visiting the Church Inn. We went as we intended on having the lunch time offer. There are signs outside the pub advertising 2 meals for £11.95. It's also on the Facebook page saying that the deal runs from Tuesday-Saturday. I made the booking over the phone and I specified for the lunch deal. Unfortunately after ordering our drinks on arrival we were told that the deal only runs from Tuesday-Thursday now.At this point we were put in an awkward position as it was too late to go elsewhere because we had drinks. Other pubs in the area advertise this deal and actually offer it. Please can you change your signs as it very misleading! I would have gone elsewhere if I'd known the deal wasn't on a Friday. The waitress was friendly and the food wasn't bad.I had fish and chips and the batter on the cod was burnt but the fish was nice. The menu also said it comes with mushy peas. The peas were actually just crushed garden peas. This is the only pub in the area that advertises a lunch time offer but not honouring it. I won't be returning not because of the food but because I think its wrong to advertise something and not offer it. If anyone is looking to have a lunch time deal go to the Ty Winch, its never been an issue there.
Called there for food with 4 generations of our family. Great food, great service. Everyone was well catered for from my 6 year olds to my 79 year old grand mother.
