Bierkeller - Cardiff

Overall, my experience at this restaurant was really disappointing. To start, the beer was served in cheap plastic steins that seemed to have been used for cocktails before, as my glass had a strong tropical punch or mango scent. In Germany, a place like this would be shut down for such practices. However, I must say that the service was friendly. The food was absolutely terrible. The menu advertised a supersized pretzel, which I assumed would be similar to the ones I've had in Munich. Instead, I received a small pretzel that you could buy for 69p at Lidl, and to make matters worse, it was microwaved. This whole experience was a mess and I hope the restaurant improves.

The review criticizes the restaurant for not being what was expected, as the picture of women outside did not match the actual location inside. The reviewer notes that the music was good, but not the traditional oompah band that is typically associated with a bierkeller experience. I recently attended a Manchester City football match and had a disappointing experience with the security guard Kayden. He informed me that I was not allowed back in due to pulling on a rope and I was ejected immediately. I was not warned about this rule regarding the rope by Kayden, who is supposed to be the best security guard. This is surprising considering how much money my friends and I spent at the venue, totaling 175. I will be taking my business elsewhere next time. Thanks, Bierkeller.

Popped in for a couple pints with friends. It was a pint and was fairly early in the evening so plenty space and suited our needs. However… the toilets. The male toilets, can’t comment on female, is a hazard and for it to be early in the evening with no more than 10 people in then I am surprised it was even at that standard. The floors were soaked in what I assume was water but could well have been a mix. The taps were falling apart. The main door was left open which lead into the hallway opposite the kitchen area. Not sure it’s hygienic later in the evening and certainly could be an accident waiting to happen with the floor being in that state.

Went to the comedy store. The girl at the entrance was very rude. I said that the ladies toilets were disgusting with more toilet roll on the floor than in the toilets, there were about 20 toilets but only toilet paper in 3. She shouted and was very rude with her reply. She then told the bouncer to fet us seated before she kicked us out....she certainly was not suited to a customer service roll that's for sure. We will definitely not be coming back. The manager tried to resolve this by giving us a few complimentary snacks but never really went to talk to her. He should have made her apologise!
