Pakpum Thai - CARDIFF SOUTH

I cannot believe some of the reviews I have read about this restaurant claiming it to be "authentic" Thai cuisine. If this is what they consider authentic, then they must have only experienced touristy food in places like Phuket. When compared to the amazing and explosive flavors of real Thai cuisine found in non-touristy areas of Bangkok, Pakpum Thai falls short. This was my first and last visit to this restaurant. The meat was thinly sliced and lacked flavor in the green curry, even after requesting it to be spicy. The ingredients did not seem fresh and overall, it felt like a cheap meal. I would rather pay extra for better quality and taste.

The service was excellent and the flavors were truly authentic. The prices were very reasonable. I enjoyed a delicious dinner in Cardiff all day.

This is a great local Thai in Cardiff. We do take away sometimes and have sat in a couple of times. Food has always been very good and service fast. Needs a bit more atmosphere but overall we think it’s a great asset to our...suburb. I can recommend the green curry, the combination Laksa, and Massaman Beef.

Have been getting takeaway for some years now and as creatures of habit i can recommend the curry puffs.vegetable spring rolls,satay chicken skewers and fried rice. All consistently tasty every time.

Dined here for first time. Ordered Thai beef salad and curry soft shell crab. Both fantastic. Definitely be back again.
