Cosy Du Plo - Carcassonne

Great sandwiches and ice cream. Good quality and good value for your money.Staff really friendly and helpful . Take away food.

We chose this place for lunch and were not disappointed. The baguettes were very tasty and it was good to find the contents were not smothered in mayo. Service was excellent.

Went to this place for an early lunch of cheese and ham baguette and a local artisan beer which was excellent. I was asked if I had time would I like the baguette toasted as it would be much better and was asked to choose one of the beers. This simple lunch was so good and the staff friendly and helpful I returned a few hours later for a coffee and cake and again the staff were friendly and helpful and the cake and coffee were very good. I very highly recommend this excellent little cafe and would definitely return and next time try the amazing looking ice cream.

We had been walking around the walls in the baking heat and stopped here for an ice cream. I saw that they served coffee but just the usual espresso, latte etc. I asked, in my unsure French, if they could make us some long iced coffees to go. Despite being busy, the friendly staff couldn’t have been more helpful and the coffee was just what we wanted. We loved Carcassonne so much we spent a second day wandering around. When were revisited Cosy the staff remembered us (those awkward English people I suspect! and offered to make us more coffees. Their ice cream was good too.

Visiting Carcassonne there was so much to see and do in a limited amount of time. By lunchtime we wanted something quick to eat and Cosy du Plo was just what we were looking for, there was a good choice of sandwiches, ice creams, beers and soft drinks (unfortunately no wine). All the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. This cafe is conveniently situated close to the end of the walk along the walls.
