The Mermaid Inn - Canterbury

The restaurant had a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hostess (or person in charge that evening) was friendly and attentive. The food was top-notch.

We went to the restaurant in the middle of the week without making a reservation, and the staff were extremely accommodating. Each table had fresh flowers and a lovely seasonal display of squashes and pumpkins. We both had the chicken pie, which was cooked perfectly and served hot. The owner, Emma, was very friendly and welcoming. Although the menu options were limited, there are also specials available on weekends.

We had lunch at the restaurant yesterday and it was truly one of the best meals we've had in a while. The food was cooked and served by the new owner, Emma. It's a great pub. Good luck, Emma!

We went to The Mermaid today. They have a wonderful new landlady. We had an excellent Sunday roast , the best we have had in a long time. The desserts were delicious.

Lovely little pub The garden though was a mess with cigarette ends all over the place and broken furniture
