The Huntsman Horn - Canterbury

The food we ordered was inedible,really greasy and hardly touched it and if we had of been offered anything else we would of had to of said no as it seems that it's all deep fat fried and I don't think they have ever heard of a salad. The whole place is very run down and dated and the toilets are enough to put you off and if you're lucky enough to experience meeting the landlady that's un savoury too. Definitely wouldn't recommend or go back

Myself and Partner absolutely love the Huntsman! And definitely recommend a visit! Everyone is welcoming, friendly and the Gorgeous food is a big bonus! The Sunday Roast is definitely a must! Plus not forgetting such Dog Friendly Pub!

We had an absolute amazing roast dinner, plenty of food and piping hot. One of us is a coeliac, and the chef understood exactly what was needed. Jackie our waitess was superb She was friendly, attentive, an absolute credit to this pub.....we will be back.

Wow fantastic experience. Delightful roast lamb but gorgeous vegetarian and vegan options (which we are looking forward to trying next time) cooked in our view to perfection. Something special not run of the mill, especially cauliflower cheese! Desert scummy salted caramel blonde cheesecake and brownies what a treat. We usually go away for our anniversary but due to circumstances stayed at home to celebrate 35 years, celebration could not have been more special, staff excellent absolutely great service thank you.

Unfortunately we had an awful Experience with the landlady who is not welcoming towards children at all. We had a family lunch and all children were really well behaved, tables even complimented us. The owners were very aggressive when talking to the kids and not welcoming at all. We paid our £480 bill then she decided to come over and tell us that they had complaints, these so called complaints she couldn’t say what they were and never told any of the adults at the time they were made so it could be rectified. She did this in front of the children also which I think is awful. She then proceeded to accuse one of the adults of something awful and said she could check the cameras. We said please do as this is an awful accusation and most importantly untrue. This was all said in front of our children and not once handles correctly. Made to feel very unwelcome after spending a lot of money. This also isn’t the first time we’ve been made to feel unwelcome with the kids but it’s local so we have continued to support
