Canterbury Shaker Village

I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews for this fantastic place! It’s part of the culinary program at Lakes Region Community College, where students prepare and serve the delicious meals. The menu changes regularly, but for just $9, you get bread, an appetizer, a main course, and a small dessert. I enjoyed the corn chowder and the pork loin, which was perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender. Others in my party had the swordfish with mango salsa, which was also delightful. For dessert, we had an amazing chocolate mousse. Just a heads-up: they only accept cash here, and it’s a good idea to make a reservation, although we were able to walk in and get a table. They are open only on limited days of the week, so be sure to call ahead for details.
