This delightful and enchanting brewery is a paradise for anyone who appreciates exceptional beer. From the moment you drive up the dirt path and glimpse this charming venue, you feel transported to a different realm. The soothing sound of water as you descend the stairs leads you into an Irish pub that whisks you away to a bygone era. You'll encounter the friendly patrons who instantly make you feel like a member of the Canterbury Aleworks family. Then there's Steve, the owner and brewmaster—he's laid-back, welcoming, and more than happy to share his knowledge about this amazing place and its remarkable beers. Everyone here made both us and our Golden Retrievers feel incredibly welcome. We decided to sample several beer tastings, and each one was exceptional. You can truly taste the passion Steve pours into his craft. If there’s a slice of heaven on earth for beer enthusiasts, it’s undoubtedly Canterbury Aleworks. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough—it certainly deserves more than five stars.

This is not your ordinary brewery, and you shouldn’t expect the usual beers here. The location is unique, and Canterbury specializes in brewing all sorts of rare styles. It’s the perfect spot to explore new flavors and try something you’ve never experienced before. It’s truly an adventure!

Really fun and intimate atmosphere. Not conducive to large groups due to limited space but charming and a good selection of beer with flights available.

Fantastic beer selection many European style beers! My favorites include: Coddiwomple, Canterbury Ale, Dinna Fash, Big Ben, and Granite Ledge Stout
