Steele Smokin Bbq - Cañon City

This is an incredible family-owned restaurant! Tim and Donna make everyone feel like part of the family. The pulled pork and beef brisket are out of this world, and Ashley prepares some of the best green chili I've ever tasted, even beyond the Mexican border! If you’re looking for a great homemade meal in the Florence area, this is the place to go.

We had a fantastic experience at their BBQ spot in Florence, and I must say that the new location in Canon City is just as good, if not better. The staff remains exceptional—friendly and incredibly helpful. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable. The brisket, pulled chicken, and pulled pork are all moist, perfectly smoked, and well-seasoned. The ribs feature a beautiful smoke ring and have the perfect texture. Their fried cucumbers are a treat, and the cornbread, beans, and coleslaw are all spot on. Plus, it's very affordable!

As the first customers, we were pleasantly surprised by our experience. The food and service were excellent. I tried the Chicken Ranch Sandwich, chili cheese fries, and paired it with an outstanding Scottish dark ale. The waitstaff was very attentive, the prices were reasonable, and the food was expertly prepared. This place is definitely a must-visit!

Had a great meal last night and wonderful entertainment! Your Cornbread is the hands down, and I'm usually not a fan of Cornbread!

I have eaten a lot of BBQ from North Carolina to Texas. This is by far the best BBQ in Colorado. Great food and great service!
