Weiler's West Hills Deli - Canoga Park

I’ve always loved this place. I’ve been going for many many years and now that I moved to Colorado every time I come to visit it’s one of my stops.The owner is the same for at least 25+ years and absolutely cares about the clientele and the food is always great.Food: 5/5

Been awhile since I had been there...totally dead inside. Server was friendly, food was meh, kitchen was really off their game and ruined by daughters waffle 3 times before they got it right....go elsewhere.Food: 2/5

I brought the Challah back to the store, hoping for a refund or a fresh loaf, but the same man refused to help, claiming it was my fault! I was so frustrated at that point that I left the moldy bread with him, told him to eat it himself, and walked out. I will NEVER set foot in that store again.

I also ordered a pastrami Reuben with onion rings, and although I'm usually not a big fan of pastrami, this was fantastic. The sandwich was huge, perfectly balanced with the juicy, rich pastrami and the tangy, salty sauerkraut. The bread held up nicely without getting soggy, keeping everything together perfectly. I'm glad I took our server's recommendation. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. The only drawback for me was that as a larger guy, the booth felt a bit cramped. Next time, I would prefer a table or the diner bar.

Philly Cheesesteak ... It 's just not a cheesesteak. I don 't understand why so many places make it like this. It 's not even close. It 's extremely simple to make a cheesesteak, it was designed to be simple. The bread is way off, it 's basically a stack of steak-umms with some hard melted cheese. And for $20?! It 's a gross misrepresentation of a cheesesteak.Let me show them cooks how to make a real Philly cheesesteak, this just missed the mark on so many levels, I wish I could have my $20 back.
