38 The Place - Cannes

Maden var som sådan fin nok, men det var alt for dyrt, kvaliteten taget i betragtning. Mere en frokostrestaurant end middag.

I booked tables at the restaurant for lunch followed by drinks for Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th March for high level business clients during the MIPIM event in Cannes. Approx 20-30 people per day.The service that was received is by far the worst I have ever experienced, or ever heard of. When guests arrived, the host of the event (high level business man) asked for coffees to be provided for the guests - he was lead back to a coffee machine and told to serve them himself. When guests arrived, they were not asked for their drinks order - or provided any drinks. The service of food was disgracful (all pre-ordered) meals were given, then taken away once started. At one point on the first day, someone ordered a beer to which the waiter said 'we have run out' and then just left. When extra guests arrived, they were told they could not have any food.On the second day - all the staff left. Every single one of them. No waiters, no kitchen staff. The guests were just left there - no drinks, no service, nothing. The host actually walked through the kitchen to try and find someone - nobody.In the end - the guests had to leave and go somewhere else.Can you imagine attending an event only to find that all the staff have gone and you'll just have to leave?This was a private event, meals paid for in advance - I have yet to receive an invoice for the beverages, but then as none were served I can't imagine I will be receiving one!Honestly, just the most shocking and appalling service you could imagine.I would never recommend anyone to attend or book an event there. There are many other lovely places in Cannes, avoid this one like the plague! Unless you want to be ripped off and treated like dirt.

Une soirée parfaite dans ce restaurant élégant. Le service est à la hauteur du lieu magnifique. Un très bon moment.

As you can imagine, eating in cannes is a good experience. fish and chips are not the main course here, focus on mexilion with fries and some raw fish.

I fell on this place in the city center and I figured, why not? I went with my boyfriend; we had the bulgolgi banh mi (this sandwich had a good taste; however the bread was
