Bidrage med feedbackDate of visit: Friday 10. February 2023 We stayed in Rocky Mountain Bagel on Co – for coffee and a quick breakfast on the way to start our day. This seems to be a very popular place for locals to come, gather, hang, and... enjoy their coffee and bagels as the place packed when we arrived. The menu is quite extensive with many options to choose from. You can order many different types of sandwiches from breakfast options to various lunch items as well as all served on your bagel of choice. We ordered 2 egg, cheese, salad, tomato on Jalapeno Cheddar Bagels, 2 Scones and 2 regular coffees. I asked if they had a turkey of chicken sausages/bacon, etc. and unfortunately their meat options for breakfast sandwiches are limited to pork meat products – which we do not eat. You have carafes for self-coffee – with a variety of types of coffee – about 4 options on the jump when we were there. They offer a variety of other baked goods such as brownies, squares, scones, cinnamon balls, etc. Everything looked so good – I wanted to try everything. The mood is very cool – casual. You can spend hours reading a book or chatting with your friends about a coffee. You have a nice small outdoor terrace – that would be great to enjoy your coffee looking at the mountains when the weather is a bit warmer. The price was quite reasonable - for 2 bagel breakfast sandwiches, 2 scones and 2 big coffees - we paid about $35 The staff - was very nice and friendly - and our bagels were made very fast. There is a little parking around the building I would definitely come when we are in the area – the coffee was great, and the bagel was very satisfied. The Scoone was a nice treat.
Absolutely a must when in Canmore, but are warned, there is usually a queue because it is so good!
The restaurant claims to be underrated, but if you have four people working behind a single counter without an espresso machine and only serving drip coffee, it's clear that they are lacking in leadership and training. It took ten minutes for me to receive a single bagel with cream cheese from this bagel shop. There are better options in the area that are trying to make a name for themselves and they will be getting my business from now on.
My husband and I visited this restaurant during our trip to Canmore/Banff. When we arrived, we looked at the menu posted on the wall before ordering. However, at the checkout, I noticed that the menu behind the cashier had different meat options for the bagel than what was listed on the other menus. I decided to change my order, but the cashier did not seem pleased with the change and did not provide good customer service. The bagels we received had more veggies than meat and an excessive amount of mustard, making them difficult to eat. My husband was unable to finish his due to the overwhelming toppings. The taste of the bagel was mediocre, and I was disappointed in the lack of cheese on my cheese bagel. If we had more time or were not with our child, we would have considered complaining. Overall, we would not return or recommend this restaurant.
I decided to give this restaurant a try after seeing a long line out the door, but I was left disappointed. I ordered a rosemary bagel with spinach cream cheese, but was unimpressed. The bagel was small, lacked flavor, and cost $6.50.
