Indian Authentic Cuisine - Canmore

This restaurant was recommended by a close friend who had a fantastic experience with their Chicken Chettinad. We ordered three dishes, including the Chettinad, for a group of three families, and were surprised by the results. Every dish tasted quite similar and had a hint of sweetness, which is not typical for Chettinad cuisine. Aside from the names, the dishes were just okay. The chicken was not cooked properly, and the biryani seemed stale. When we voiced our concerns, the dishes were replaced, and they tasted much better. It might have just been an off day, so we're willing to give it another chance next time before making a final decision.

We visited this restaurant for our first meal of the day at 5:00 PM, and the place was empty at that time. We ordered the Rajasthani chicken, masala fish curry, sliced naan, and tandoori roti. The flavors of the dishes were delightful. The fish curry had a medium level of spiciness and rich layers of aroma. The paneer naan was incredibly soft, and I was truly delighted to eat it. This is a must-try spot in the neighborhood. While it’s a bit on the pricier side compared to other options, the quality of the food makes it worth it. The service was also quite good.

Firstly, we were not given our complete order. Then, what we did receive was so insufficient in quantity that we felt genuinely regretful about the amount we paid. The besan pakoras were mostly just chickpea flour; it seemed as if they were trying to cut costs and skimp on ingredients. When we reached out to address our concerns, they suggested we return with the food. However, upon our return, they refused to issue a refund. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It was a terrible experience.

I love restaurants where the cook checks his customers! It is the cherry top for culinary experiences, especially when the food is delicious as itss. The Naan was? I will be coming back

The waiter set expectations straight from the beginning that it would take longer than usual, the water glasses were dirty, however the food was pretty bland, the paneer 65 came with a strand of hair which the waiter denied, we had ordered garlic naan and the waiter had brought regular naan to the table. When we proceeded to let him know, respectfully, the naan order was wrong, he rudely denied. He dropped half of our dal on the ground then left it for us to eat, charged for the entire meal, didn?t even replace the meal with the hair on, or didn?t add any extra dal considering he dropped quite a bit. We paid over 160$ for dal and rice and a 2 chicken and veg apps!
