Elita Restaurant - Canmore

This is my first negative review of a restaurant ever but I felt compelled to do it to educate everyone else. Very underwhelming experience. The food is mid and overpriced. The hostess who might be the owner is racist. If you are a person of colour expect to be treated with subpar hospitality. When we asked how large their serving sizes were, she looked at us indignantly and said One dish one person!!! Their chef is a kind man. There was a hair in my daughter 's food and he re-made the dish and apologized, but they never took it off the bill (we 've never in our lives been charged in a scenario like that). We went there because of their vegetarian selections but were taken aback by their rude behaviour, the treatment we received, and the average quality of food (not to mention the hair in our dish). At $25-30 per entree, I expect to be at least treated with respect forget about the down-bad hippy decor. This is a mom-and-pop establishment with the price tags of premium restaurants. Will not recommend it, especially if you aren 't white.

Victor, the owner, took excellent care of me and served the most delicious food!!!! Food reminiscent of my mom’s Romanian cooking, although he is Ukrainian. The restaurant has amazing views, great decor and vibe and best of all a varied and excellent menu. I even got a special treat! Thank you Victor!!!

Unexpectedly good. Wasn't sure when I arrived as it looked more a cafe than restaurant. But the food was good. Its very unpretentious, but also very tasty. All five of us were very pleased with what wd ordered. The dessert wax excellent.

This place This place has something for everyone! We were a party of eight and everyone was very happy with their varied entrees! The owner was welcoming and personable making us feel very comfortable and well cared for!! Highly recommend this local Gem!

I went to this restaurant after reading the amazing reviews. Although the family that runs this restaurant is nice, the food was absolutely disgusting!. They had a “Paella” but coming from a Spanish background this was not what was served! The rice tasted like minute rice and it was topped with flavourless frozen seafood on top. We asked about children’s meals and they said they could make chicken for them but it would not be like McDonalds. My children have never eaten at McDonald’s as they are healthy eaters and their favourite food is sushi. Our bill was over $400 for 4 adults and 2 kids. I definitely would pay that if it was a decent restaurant but there’s no way the reviews are real. Please do not go based on the reviews and avoid this place at all cost. Nice family but the food was the worst I have ever had.
