Bidrage med feedbackThe food and service is first class. You'll be imagining that you're dining in a plush joint in the CBD. I went once on a Saturday and they had live music and dancing. Where else can you get that nowadays? Maybe at a nightclub, but certainly not at a fine dining restaurant. BRAVO MILANO! I wish that we could enjoy live entertainment on Fridays as well.
Fabulous Evening. The ratings on Urbanspoon were so so, but we were told not to worry for Milano is under new management. Still, we didn't expect too much when we attended a birthday dinner. We were absolutely blown away. The food is almost as good as one would find in first class eateries in the CBD and the posh Eastern suburbs. We started off with complimentary dinner rolls served with soft butter. I'm absolutely anal on the temperature of butter. I hate it when restaurants serve you semi frozen butter which is not easily spreadable. It's a fine attention to detail and Milano's kitchen obviously cares. The menu has a huge variety of steaks, pizza and pastas. Most dishes sounded authentic Italian, whilst there were some Modern Australian choices. Some of the dishes were really creative, for example pasta with Peking Duck and Fettucini with Lemon Myrtle (BTW, Lemon Myrtle is an Australian herb). From the list of specials, I spotted a Pizza with a Thai Green Curry topping, which I'm sure to order if i see it again it sounds so intriguing. Today I couldn't go past my all time Italian favourite, the OSSO BUCCO special, which is shanks cooked in a red wine sauce. Great dish, with tender meat falling off the bone. The accompanying mash was a good foil for the rich sauce. My partner opted for the Ocean Beef, steak topped with prawns. I rate the Osso Bucco 10/10 whilst my partner gave 9/10 to the steak. As all the dishes on the menu sounded so mouthwatering, it took very long for our large group to decide. Surely the waitstaff must've been frustrated, but they never showed it. They were extremely courteous, patiently explaining the menu and answering all questions. The kitchen took care of all dietary restrictions. When one guest asked for chilli, the servers brought both chilli flakes as well as chilli sauce. There was live entertainment that night and a duo of talented vocalists took turns singing hits from the 50's and the 60's, which added to our pleasure.Even though we had a birthday cake, a couple of diners wanted to try desserts. They ordered Italian Trifle with Mango plus a Chocolate Mousse. Both signalled thumbs up.The staff brought out the cake with candles and didn't even charge cakeage. The best part of the evening came when we saw the check. The food and the drinks are very reasonable for the fine dining experience. Huge mains in the mid to upper 20's and good wines by the glass for only 8! A steal. The chef is very gifted. Everyone loved the food and thoroughly enjoyed their evening and we aim to go back and try some of the other dishes.
A local gem with high quality food for a fair price! You will forget that you are in lansvale! Delicious 3 course dinners
Yummy Ribs, quiet place to enjoy dinner and good service.... BUT the food took a bit long wait to come out...You should make your order decision as soon as you get there
Evening Dinning Experience.... Service from the waiter 100% Food was very well presented and very tasty. I would definately recommend the evening dinner. Breakfast is a buffet affair... Sausages not that great but the rest of the offering was pretty good. Yes I would eat there again
