Pizzeria la Carbonara - Caniço

It was a larger restaurant with large service. the food was good and the prices good. I liked to see people from there had dinner at this place.

If your pizza loves with a lot of filling and good service is the place to be. so far this is the best pizza I had on the island for 9 months.

For a good,value for money meal look no further.The Carbonara is a favourite with both the locals and tourists.It is a nice big restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating,was covid freindly and the service was very good and freindly.The menu was mainly Italian,but there was...steaks and fish dishes on it aswell.The food was very nice,well cooked and tasty and it was very reasonably priced,Ithoroughly recommend this restaurant.

This is located in the resort complex which was full of Germans. Their first assumption is that you are also German (at which some take offense). Constant kitsch music playing. Service friendly and helpful. Food very standardized run-of-the-mill Italian. Don’t expect miracles. Maybe Miracoli.

We have visited this local restaurant many, many times over the years. It’s the first place we choose to eat after after we’ve landed on the island. The service and food have always been excellent. We’ve always enjoyed a consistently good standard of food delivered...by friendly, professional staff. Last night we went with friends, who live in Madeira, to the new premises for the first time. What a disappointment! The service was very slow and one member of the group didn’t get her meal until we’d almost finished ours. I hope the poor service on this visit was a ‘one off’. It would be such a shame if this usually excellent restaurant failed to live up to its past performance.
