Fisherman's Hut - Candolim

My experience at this restaurant for lunch was positive initially, with good service. However, as more customers arrived, we had to wait a long time for our main meals. The food was decent but not exceptional, and the prices were higher compared to other similar establishments. Despite that, the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere and was a nice spot to enjoy a few drinks.

This beech shack has been in situ for 20 ish years, ive been back n forth over the last 16 or so and still rate this place highly. ZLove the Dahl and chicken tikka tandoori.Oh and the fish in the pic was to die for. ❤

I recently stayed at Taj Fort Aguada and had an excellent experience. I made use of the pool at Taj Village, located next door, and also enjoyed a relaxing 10-minute walk along the beach to The Hut. I would recommend avoiding the first 3 shacks you pass as we found the seating uncomfortable, the food subpar, and the service inconsistent in those establishments. However, The Fishermans Hut was a standout. The chairs were deep and comfortable, inviting patrons to sit back and enjoy another beer while watching the waves. The chicken tikka was particularly delicious, indicating that the other menu options would also be good. We only dined there for lunch and tried a few dishes, but we always enjoyed our meals. The service was prompt and very welcoming.

Do not anticipate anything exceptional here. The beer is served cold, but the seafood is of poor taste. The service is subpar. This restaurant is the closest option to Taj properties, but the food is below standard. You will find cheaper beer here compared to the Taj properties you are staying at. I recommend trying out shacks in Candolim or Bagga instead. This establishment is a poor representation of Goa shacks.

We used Fisherman's Hut nearly every day for 2 weeks during our holiday January and February. The sunbeds are free if you eat and drink in the Restaurant which we did every day. The service was always excellent. We had the same sunbeds every day which was really nice and they were reserved for us by Bishal (I think thats his name) who also served us with drinks and food throughout the day. The toilet facilities are outstanding and regularly checked. They also have a shower on site which was used by some people. We had many dishes throughout out stay for lunch and everyone was extremely tasty and well prepared. We were always asked if we wanted medium or spice for our dishes which was nice. Very good prices and would undoubtedly recommend Fishermans Hut and would definately use again ourselves when we visit Candolim again. Despite it saying this beach shack is in Sinquerim is on the main Candolim beach near O resort and Santana. Great place. Thanks for a great service
